1ME prayer assembly

Today we did our prayer assembly. It was about the creation story. In class we made props such as mountains and creatures to use during our prayer. We learnt and sung a song thanking God for the gifts of creation.

Here are some photos of us in acion.

Friday Maths Games

A BIG thanks to the 1M and 1H parents for helping us out on Friday so we could join in on maths games. All three year one classes combined for our maths game rotations to explore the concept of capacity.

Connor, Chelsea and Marcus checking if the
scales are balanced.

Connor and Adam doing addition with some
funky mummies.
Out in the sandpit with Mrs McCosker measuring
and comparing the capacity of different containers.

Wet Weather Music

Due to all the rain this week we had our music lesson in our room. I was lucky enough to see some of the children perform in a mini concert. We have some lovely singing voices in 1ME!

Aliens

Thanks to everyone who collected lots of different items to make our aliens. There is hardly anywhere in the room for us becasue we have so many things! Today the children continued planning their aliens by looking at their drawings and working out what materials they could use for their creations.

Thursday Rotations

Our Thusday rotations are going great, thanks to Mrs Lane who comes in every Thursday to help us out.

Doing tutors with Mrs Prins

Playing a vowel game with Mrs Lane.

Using our fine motor skills to create patterns and shapes with the pattern blocks.

Exploring odd and even on the computers.

Cross Country

Our Cross Country was held on the 29th of April. Our training must have paid off because we had a few wins on the day, and everyone trying their best. In the boys Finn came first, Rhys third and Devis fourth. In the girls Alanna came first and Charlotte second. Good work everyone!
